The best way to enjoy the vibe of a hip music festival is in an outfit that is as laid back and chill as you are.
Tomboy chic is pretty much the only way to dress nowadays. Indeed, it's the wave of the future. The best part? You can dress it up or down, so no need to panic girls--we're not taking your skirts away. What we are telling you to do, is to pair that skirt with some really cool sneaker wedges, a relaxed t-shirt, and a dope baseball cap.
At the 2017 KAABOO Del Mar music festival, where I saw my idol Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, I decided to go "radical chic" by layering a black knit top (from Theory) on top of a white sports bra (from Victoria Sport) paired with some denim rose cutout "hot pants" that I got from the Internet (yes, the internet is a store). Donning my revolutionary Dr. Martens boots, I am ready to walk (and stand) tall for hours. The finishing piece that pulls the entire look together is my black faux fur jacket from n:philanthropy, proving that no matter where you go, you can always look good and give a damn at the same time.
n:philanthropy prioritizes giving a damn about something, whatever that may be. For them, it’s pediatric cancer research and animal welfare, so they donate 10% of their net proceeds to Children’s Hospital LA (CHLA), the ASPCA, and other local animal charities.
What about you? How do you do "tomboy chic"? And what do you believe is the best way to dress for a hip music festival? Give me your best style input in the comments section below!
