Exercise Encouragement

Exercise Encouragement

Now is the perfect time to start a new fitness/exercise routine!

Walk, run, jog, swim, bike, dance, do whatever you love to do—as long as it involves moving you are in good shape! Love where you are in the moment while also being motivated to change your body in the way you want.

Today is officially the first day of the 2020 summer season, so let’s get ready!

(For more workout motivation, be sure to check out my physical fitness diaries vlog series here)

Exercise Encouragement

In this video I will be:

1.     Demonstrating some exercises that I believe will give you a great fitness foundation

2.     Explaining what I feel are the best motivating factors to keep you fit for the summer season (and any season)

In this video I briefly demonstrate the following exercises:

  • Push ups

  • Full sit ups

  • Superwomans

  • Ankle touches

  • Front bridges

  • Modified clams

  • Running in place

  • Split squats

Please note: this is my agenda to help encourage you to find yours!

Motivating Factors

The best motivating factors to keep you focused on maintaining your overall health and fitness foundation:

 Some do’s and don’ts:

Do: start small—and get excited about being better! Low reps to start is ok

Do: Set an original agenda! Personalize and individualize your workout based on your goals, wants, wishes and desires for your body

Don’t: Do too much (if you can’t see what you’re doing) It’s dangerous; if you do the exercise incorrectly you will be hurting yourself and your progress will suffer. Hint the best way to tell that you are doing something wrong is if you are sore in unintended areas. (For example, if you are sore in your lower back when you intended to work your glute muscles

Don’t: overwork! If you overwork you put your body at risk for damage such as injury. (this is why all the exercises I showed are fairly simple and basic)

Remember: Pain is weakness leaving the body, but too much pain indicates a problem and should send an alarm through your body

Do: push yourself! It’s ok to test your limits to see how far your body can go

Do: stretch, rest and hydrate both before during and after your workout. (also whenever your body calls you to do so)

Don’t: compare your body or your progress to anyone else. We are all diverse! Live in your diversity and appreciate who you are as an individual. Remember we each have a different set of fingerprints for a reason.

I hope this encourages you to exercise more! Best of luck to you, and have a happy summer 2020!
